CPA Biographies

Carlos founded LBB & Associates Ltd., LLP in August 2004 with over 20 years of public accounting experience servicing the publicly held sector. Carlos specializes in audits of small business issuers in a broad range of industries. Prior to founding LBB, Carlos was a Partner with Malone & Bailey, P.C. for four years, Manager of SEC Reporting for Compaq Computer Corporation for one year, Senior Manager with BDO Seidman, LLP for four years, and up to manager for other national accounting firms for the prior ten years.

Carlos is a graduate of University of Texas - Pan American where he earned his Bachelor of Business Administration - Accounting in 1985. Carlos is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Texas, and is a member in good standing of the AICPA and TSCPA.

Carlos’ public accounting experience includes SEC filings S-1, S-3, S-8, SB-2, 10-Q, 10-QSB, 10-K, 10-KSB, and 20F, as well as other related public filing communications. His clients represent a wide range of industries, including telecommunications, high-tech, manufacturing, distribution, construction, retail and health industries, for which he has provided audit, consulting, acquisition due diligence and reorganization/restructuring services.

Peter joined LBB & Associates Ltd., LLP as an Audit Partner in March 2006, bringing over 20 years of diverse public accounting and industry experience to the firm. Pete specializes in audits of small business issuers in a broad range of industries. Prior to joining LBB, Pete was the sole member of Peter D. Nelson CPA, PLLC for five years, Audit Director with Pannell Kerr Forster of Texas for eight years, Audit Staff / Senior / Manager with Coopers and Lybrand (Austin and Houston) for five years, and CFO/Controller with Dolce Conference Services of Texas for four years.

Pete is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin where he earned his Bachelor of Business Administration - Accounting in 1984. Pete is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Texas, and is a member in good standing of the AICPA and TSCPA.

Pete’s public accounting experience includes SEC filings S-1, SB-2, 10-Q, 10-QSB, 10-K, 10-KSB, and 20F, as well as other related public filing communications. His clients represent a wide range of industries, including financial services, real estate (commercial, multi-family residential, land development and retail sale, golf course development and management), hotel development and management, manufacturing, construction, professional services, retail, pharmaceutical, bio-medical, software development and others, for which he has provided audit, consulting, acquisition due diligence, reorganization/restructuring and financial advisory services.

Matthew joined LBB & Associates Ltd., LLP as an Audit Senior when LBB was formed in August 2004. Matthew was promoted to parter in January 2009. Matthew specializes in audits of small business issuers in a broad range of industries. Prior to joining LBB, Matthew was an Audit Staff / Senior with Malone & Bailey for three years.

Matthew is a graduate of the University of Houston where he earned both his Bachelor of Business Administration - Accounting and his Masters of Science in Accountancy in 2003 and 2004, respectively. Matthew is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Texas, and is a member in good standing of the AICPA and TSCPA.
